Deadline to Request Absentee Ballot Extended!

A U.S. District Court judge ruled today in a lawsuit filed by DPW & DNC to eliminate several barriers to voting by mail in the April 7 election.  This ruling is a victory for voters, for public health, and our democracy, and it gives voters critical extra time to safely vote by mail.

WHAT THIS RULING MEANS TO VOTERS:

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is extended to TOMORROW (4/3) BY 5:00 PM. Please request one ASAP. https://myvote.wi.gov/en-US/VoteAbsentee

The deadline to return an absentee ballot is extended to 4/13 at 4:00 PM, with no requirement that ballots be postmarked by election day.

Voters who are unable to safely obtain a witness certification are allowed to submit a written statement that they were unable to do so, despite reasonable efforts.
