HELP NEEDED!!

We are in need of volunteers to staff the office. Please contact Gretchen Fincke at grfincke@charter.net or 262-629-1567 for more information or to sign up for a shift. Having staff in our office is an important part of having a presence in the Washington County community. Please consider taking some of these important shifts!

Survey

The members of the executive committee have created a survey in order to help determine our next steps as a community. Please click here to take this short, yet important survey.

Aluminum Cans

We are still collecting aluminum cans at the office. This is a great way to recycle AND donate towards the office at the same time.

Gasland – “The largest domestic natural gas drilling boom in history has swept across the United States. The Halliburton-developed drilling technology of “fracking” or hydraulic fracturing has unlocked a “Saudia Arabia of natural gas” just beneath us. But is fracking safe? When filmmaker Josh Fox is asked to lease his land for drilling, he embarks on a cross-country odyssey uncovering a trail of secrets, lies and contamination. A recently drilled nearby Pennsylvania town reports that residents are able to light their drinking water on fire. This is just one of the many absurd and astonishing revelations of a new country called GASLAND. Part verite travelogue, part expose, part mystery, part bluegrass banjo meltdown, part showdown.”
Tuesday, January 22nd @ 7-9pm – Community Forum: The Affordable Care Act and Small Business
* Guest Speaker: Kevin Kane, Health Care Organizer at Citizens Action of Wisconsin
